Article 269. Attack on buildings, structures, communications and communication facilities or their seizure of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

1 An attack on buildings, structures (including stationary platforms located on the continental shelf of the Republic of Kazakhstan), communications and other communications, as well as their seizure –

     are punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of three to seven years or by imprisonment for the same term, with or without confiscation of property.

2 The same acts committed:

     1) by a group of persons by prior agreement;

     2) repeatedly;

     3) using violence that is dangerous to life or health;

     4) with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons;

     5) for selfish reasons or for hire;

     6) in relation to buildings of state bodies or state institutions, –

     are punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with confiscation of property.

3 The acts provided for in the first or second parts of this article, if they are committed by a criminal group or have negligently caused the death of a person or other grave consequences., –

     are punishable by imprisonment for a term of eight to fifteen years with confiscation of property, deprivation of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan or without it.
