Article 32. Identification of farm animals and assignment of registration numbers of the Veterinary Law
1. Farm animals are subject to mandatory identification, which makes it possible to monitor each animal for the purpose of monitoring and supervising the implementation of veterinary treatments for the prevention and diagnosis of animal diseases, in accordance with the procedure established by the authorized body.
1-1. The Processing Center performs:
1) issue of individual numbers;
2) registration of laser stations, products (facilities) and attributes for the identification of farm animals and their producers in the database for the emission of individual numbers;
3) determination of compliance of products (means) and attributes for identification of farm animals with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of veterinary medicine;
4) maintaining a database on the issue of individual numbers;

2. For the purpose of control and supervision of compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of veterinary medicine, production facilities engaged in animal husbandry, harvesting (slaughter), storage, processing and sale of animals, products and raw materials of animal origin, as well as organizations for the production, storage and sale of veterinary drugs, feed and feed additives are subject to assignment of registration numbers.

This Law defines the legal, organizational and economic basis for carrying out activities in the field of veterinary medicine and is aimed at ensuring veterinary and sanitary safety.
