On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 14, 2026 No. 289-VIII SAM

 Article 1. To make the following amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 12, 1995 "On State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan":

     1) the second part of Article 5 should be worded as follows:

     "There is no re-assignment of the same honorary title.";

     2) Article 11 should be worded as follows:

     "Article 11. The Orders of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:

     - "Otan";

     - "Barys";

     - "Dank";

     - "AL-FARABI";

     - "QOJA AHMET YASAUI";

     - "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tumysh Presidenti – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev";

     - "Meirim";

     - "Aybyn";

     - "Parasat";

     - "Dostyk";

     - "Ate birligi";

     - "Kurmet";

     - "Enbek Danky".";

     3) delete article 12-1;

     4) in the first paragraph of the first part of Article 13, the words "prosecutor's office, civil protection, internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan" should be replaced by the words "law enforcement agencies, civil protection agencies and the State courier service of the Republic of Kazakhstan";

     5) add articles 13-1, 13-2, 13-3 and 13-4 as follows:

     "Article 13-1. The AL-FARABI Order is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens for great services to the Republic of Kazakhstan, who have achieved significant success in the fields of education and science, culture and spiritual life.

     Article 13-2. The Order of "QOJA AHMET YASAUI" is awarded to domestic and foreign scientists, statesmen and public figures who have special merits in the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as citizens who have contributed to the strengthening of statehood, the development of socio-political, social, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

     Article 13-3. The Order of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for special merits in state and public activities that contribute to the formation, prosperity and glory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     Heads and heads of governments of foreign countries can be awarded the Order of Kazakhstan Republikasynn Tengysh Presidenti – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev for special services to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     Article 13-4. The Order of Meirim is awarded to citizens who have shown high social responsibility and have made a significant contribution to charitable activities, including philanthropic or philanthropic ones.

     In exceptional cases, by decision of the Head of State, the award of the Order of "Meirim" may be made without taking into account the established deadlines.";

     6) in article 14:

     in the first paragraph of the first part, the words "special state bodies, prosecutor's offices, civil protection, internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan" should be replaced by the words "special state and law enforcement agencies, civil protection bodies and the State courier service of the Republic of Kazakhstan";

     In part two, replace the words "junior and senior" with the words "junior, senior and senior";

     7) Article 18 should be worded as follows:

     "Article 18. Medals of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:

     - "Erligi ushin";

     - "Jauyngerlik yerligi ushin";

     - "Yeren enbegi ushin";

     - "Shapagat".";

     8) in the first paragraph of Article 20, the words "special state bodies, prosecutor's offices, civil protection, national security, internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan" should be replaced by the words "special state and law enforcement agencies, civil protection agencies and the State courier service of the Republic of Kazakhstan";

     9) Article 27 should be worded as follows:

     "Article 27. Awards for mothers with many children are suspensions:

     - "Altyn alka";

     - "Kumis alka".".

     Article 2. This Law shall enter into force from the date of its signing.
