On the expansion of the territory of the state nature reserve of republican significance “Ongtustik Altai” (comprehensive)
Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 17, 2026, No. 284
In accordance with subparagraph 6) of Article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Specially Protected Natural Territories,” and in order to preserve and restore valuable, rare, and endangered animal species, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan RESOLVES:
1. Expand the territory of the state nature reserve of republical significance “Ongtustik Altay” (integrated) by 5,244.2799 hectares within the Kurchum District of the East Kazakhstan Region.
2. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the East Kazakhstan Region shall take measures arising from this resolution.
3. Amend the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 26, 2017, No. 593 “On Approval of the List of Specially Protected Natural Territories of Republican Significance” as follows:
in the list of specially protected natural territories of republican significance approved by the said resolution:
in the section “East Kazakhstan Region”, the line with the sequence number 116 should be worded as follows:

4. This resolution shall enter into force ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication.
