On some issues of regulating the export of certain types of timber
Order of the Acting Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 5, 2026 No. 284. Registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 8, 2026 No. 38913
In accordance with Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Regulation of Trade Activities", articles 29 and 47 of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, as well as section 10 of Annex 7 to the said treaty, I ORDER:
1. Introduce a ban on the export of certain types of timber from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan by all modes of transport for a period of six months (commodity nomenclature code for Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union 4401, 4403, 4404, 4406 and 4407), regardless of the country of origin, with the exception of the EAEU HS code 4406910000 "Wooden sleepers from coniferous species for railway or tram paths, other" and the EAEU HS code 4401310000 "Wood pellets", the country of origin of which is the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. To notify the Committee of Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1) The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ensuring control over the implementation of paragraph 1 of this order;
2) Joint Stock Company "National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" (as agreed) on the application of measures to implement paragraph 1 of this order in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the need to inform the Eurasian Economic Commission in the prescribed manner about the introduction of the ban specified in paragraph 1 of this order.
3. The Committee of Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the procedure established by law, shall ensure:
1) the state registration of this order in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) posting of this order on the Internet resource of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. Control over the execution of this order is entrusted to the supervising Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. This order will enter into force on June 12, 2026 and is subject to official publication.
