PROTOCOL on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the conditions of mutual travel of citizens dated July 7, 2000

Entered into force on March 5, 2015 - Bulletin of International Treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2015, No. 2, art. 19

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, in accordance with Article 15 of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the conditions of mutual travel of citizens dated July 7, 2000 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), have agreed as follows:

Article 1

Valid documents granting the right to enter, exit, transit, and temporary stay in the territories of the States of the Parties include the documents specified in Annexes No. 1 and No. 2 to this Protocol.  Annexes No. 1 and No. 2 to this Protocol replace Annexes No. 1 and No. 2 to the Agreement.

Article 2

This Protocol is an integral part of the Agreement and enters into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in Article 17 of the Agreement. This Protocol shall terminate simultaneously with the Agreement.

Done in Astana on September 7, 2012, in two copies, each in the Kazakh, Uzbek and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the provisions of this Protocol, the Parties will be guided by the text in Russian.

Appendix No. 1 to the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the terms of Mutual citizens' trips dated July 7, 2000

LIST of documents for entry, exit, transit, temporary stay of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan

1. A diplomatic passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2. Official passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 3. Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 4. Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan containing electronic media. 5. Certificate of an aircraft crew member (while traveling as part of the crew). 6. Certificate for return to the Republic of Kazakhstan (only for return to the Republic of Kazakhstan). 7. The identity card of an employee of the intergovernmental courier service.

Appendix No. 2 to the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the terms of Mutual citizens' trips dated July 7, 2000

LIST of documents for entry, exit, transit, temporary stay of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan

1. A diplomatic passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan (biometric sample). 2. A diplomatic passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan (not a biometric sample - until December 31, 2015). 3. Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan (biometric sample). 4. Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan (non-biometric sample - until December 31, 2015). 5. Certificate of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan who has not reached the age of 16 (travel document for minors until December 31, 2015). 6. Certificate of return to the Republic of Uzbekistan (only for return to the Republic of Uzbekistan). 7. Certificate of an aircraft crew member (while traveling as part of the crew). 8. Identification card of an employee of the intergovernmental courier service.
