To ratify the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Conditions of Accommodation and Servicing of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 1998, made in Astana on May 22, 2008.

PROTOCOL on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Conditions of Accommodation and Servicing of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 1998.

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, have agreed to make the following amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Conditions for the Placement and Maintenance of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 1998, hereinafter referred to as the Agreement: In paragraph 2 of article 2: 1) replace the words "15,000 square meters" with the words "16,400 square meters"; 2) replace the words "in the village of Zarechnoye" (the former labor and recreation camp "Burevestnik") with the words "along Akyrtas Street"; 3) replace the words "20,000 square meters" with the words "21,400 square meters". This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of receipt, through diplomatic channels, of the last written notification that the Parties have completed the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force. This Protocol shall terminate simultaneously with the termination of the Agreement.

Done in Astana on May 22, 2008, in two copies, each in the Kazakh and Russian languages, both texts being equally authentic.
