To ratify Protocol on making changes to Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on cooperation in the field of education dated November 22, 2009, signed in Kabul on June 18, 2010.

Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on cooperation in the field of education dated November 22, 2009
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, guided by Article 19 of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on cooperation in the field of education dated November 22, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), in order to further expand the exchange in the field of education between the States of the Parties, agreed as follows:
Article 1
Part One Articles 5 of the Agreement should be worded as follows: "Citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan are trained in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the following fields: healthcare - 200 people (higher specialized (general medicine) - 194, Bachelor of Pharmacy - 6), agriculture - 129 (bachelor's degree - 117, Master's degree - 12), veterinary medicine - 6 (master's degree - 6), internal law enforcement - 75 (bachelor's degree - 75), humanities and journalism - 40 (bachelor's degree - 16, Master's degree - 24), natural sciences - 6 (Master's degree - 6), social sciences, economics and business - 18 (Master's degree - 18), art - 18 (Master's degree - 18), law - 6 (Master's degree - 6), border security - 45 (Bachelor's degree - 45), engineering - 91 (Bachelor's degree - 40, Master's degree - 51) and the pedagogical direction - 66 (bachelor's degree - 30, master's degree - 36)".
Article 2
In case of disputes in the interpretation or application of the provisions of this Protocol, the Parties will resolve them through consultations and negotiations.
Article 3
This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the last written notification through diplomatic channels that the Parties have completed the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force. Done in Kabul on June 18, 2010, in two copies, each in the Kazakh, Dari and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of discrepancies in interpretation, the Parties will refer to the English text.
