About renaming the city of Leninsk in the Kzyl-Orda region

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 20, 1995 N 2695

Taking into account the wishes of the public of the Kyzylorda region, based on the conclusion of the State Onomastic Commission under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I hereby decree:

1. Rename the city of Leninsk in the Kyzylorda region to the city of Baikonur.

2. To establish that the adoption of this Decree does not affect the provisions of treaties and agreements with the Russian Federation on the city of Leninsk.
