About the formation of the Republican Contract Corporation "Kazcontract"

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 7, 1992 No. 1006

 In order to deepen market relations in the republic and improve the mechanism for ensuring the supply of products for state needs, I decree:      

1. The State Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan on State Property, together with enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall establish a joint-stock company Republican Contract Corporation Kazcontract (Kazcontract JSC) within one month.      

To entrust Kazcontract JSC with material and technical support for the state needs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the organization of interstate economic relations, and assistance to enterprises and organizations of the republic in the development of direct contracts.      

To determine that Kazcontract JSC participates in the quoting and licensing of product supplies, ensures, in accordance with the established procedure, the state purchase of goods according to the nomenclature determined by the Government by concluding contracts.      

2. To transfer to the Republican Contract Corporation "Kazcontract" as the authorized capital of the joint-stock company the buildings and structures currently occupied by the Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its subordinate republican enterprises and organizations, as well as their circulating, tangible and monetary assets and other property.      

3. The State Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan on State Property shall transfer to Kazcontract JSC the rights of ownership, use and management of state property of regional enterprises and organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

To establish that as these industry enterprises are transformed into joint-stock companies, the corresponding state controlling stakes are transferred to the management of the Republican Contract Corporation Kazcontract.      

4. In connection with the establishment of the Republican Contract Corporation "Kazcontract" to abolish the Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

To determine Kazcontract JSC as the legal successor of the Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, enterprises and organizations of the industry on the basis of which the joint-stock company was formed.      

5. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall, within a ten-day period, adopt decisions arising from this Decree, including on measures for the social protection of employees of the abolished Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

6. To invalidate the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 22, 1992 No. 582 "On the formation of the Ministry of Material Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 2, art. 25).
