About the jubilee medal in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the railway of Kazakhstan
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 30, 2004 No. 1353
In order to encourage citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of railway transport in the Republic, as well as to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the railway of Kazakhstan, I hereby decree:
1. To establish the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan temir zholyna 100 zhyl".
2. To approve the attached: 1) the regulations on the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Temir Zholine 100 zhyl"; 2) the description of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Temir Zholine 100 zhyl".
3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of publication.

Description of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Temir Zholyna 100 zhyl"
The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan temir zholyna 100 zhyl" is made of brass, has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 34 mm and a thickness of 2.5 mm. On the obverse (obverse) of the medal, relief images of a steam locomotive and a modern electric locomotive standing on rails are placed against the background of a contour map of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The contour map is shown in blue enamel with the highlighted location of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The dates "1904-2004" are placed at the bottom of the image. On the reverse side of the medal (reverse) is the inscription "Kazakhstan temir zholyna 100 zhyl. 100 years of the railway of Kazakhstan". An element of the Kazakh national ornament is depicted below. The medal is connected by means of a ring and an eyelet to a shoe 55 mm high and 34 mm wide, covered with a blue moire ribbon with vertical stripes along the edges of golden and white colors. A pin with a visor lock is attached to the back of the strap.

The provisions of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan temir zholyna 100 zhyl"
1. The Jubilee Medal "Kazakhstan Temir Zholyna 100 zhyl" (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal) is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of railway transport in the republic. 2. The jubilee medal is awarded on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 3. The procedure for submitting and considering applications for awarding the jubilee medal is determined by the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 4. The jubilee medal is presented on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the President of the National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Closed Joint Stock Company, akims of regions, Astana and Almaty cities and other officials authorized to do so. 5. Each recipient is given a corresponding certificate simultaneously with the presentation of the jubilee medal. 6. A protocol of the prescribed form is drawn up on the presentation of the jubilee medal. It is affixed with the signature of the person who presented the medal and the seal of the awarding authority, and is sent to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. N990090 7. The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan temir Zholin 100 zhyl" is worn on the left side of the chest. If there are state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is placed after them. 8. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall keep records of awards made, as well as reports on the awarding of commemorative medals.
