About the jubilee medal in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 In order to encourage citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development and establishment of statehood and strengthening the sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to commemorate the 10th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I hereby decree: B901700 , Z914400 1. To establish the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl".      2. Approve the attached: 1) regulations on the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl"; 2) description of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl".      3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan should allocate the necessary funds for the manufacture of commemorative medals.      4. This Decree comes into force from the date of publication.

1. The Jubilee Medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl" (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal) is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to the establishment of statehood, strengthening sovereignty and to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

2. Submissions for awarding the jubilee medal are submitted to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Parliament, the Government, ministries, other central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akims of regions, Astana and Almaty cities, as well as public organizations.      

3. The jubilee medal is awarded by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      The jubilee medal may also be awarded on behalf of and on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.:      

1) The Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan;      

2) akims of regions, Astana and Almaty cities, as well as other officials authorized to do so by the Head of State.      

4. The presentation of the jubilee medal is carried out in a solemn atmosphere and publicly. It is presented to the recipient personally. Before the presentation, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on awarding is announced.      

5. A protocol of the prescribed form shall be drawn up on the presentation of the jubilee medal. It is affixed with the signature of the person who presented the medal and the seal of the awarding authority, and is sent to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

6. The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republicsin tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl" is worn on the left side of the chest. If there are state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is placed after them.      

7. Each recipient is given a corresponding certificate simultaneously with the presentation of the jubilee medal.      

8. Accounting of awards made, as well as reporting on the awarding of commemorative medals, is conducted by the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.                                       Approved by Decree

                           Description of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasynn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl" The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasynn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl" has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 34 mm. The obverse of the medal in the center, against the background of a stylized number 10, consisting of a unit and a sun with diverging rays, depicts the head fragment of the monument to the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty.      The inscription "Kazakhstan" is located in the upper part of the medal.      On the reverse of the medal in the upper part there is an inscription "Kazakhstan Republikasyn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl", in the lower part - "10 years of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan". The inscriptions are separated by an element of national ornament. The medal is made of tompack. The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn tauelsizdigine 10 zhyl" is connected with a pentagonal shaped block covered with a moire ribbon in the color of the flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan with three yellow and two red alternating stripes using an eyelet and a ring. There is a pentagonal metal plate in the upper part of the shoe, and a curly brace in the lower part. The shoe is made of brass, its height is 50 mm, width is 34 mm.
