In order to encourage citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development and establishment of statehood and strengthening the sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan
I DECREE:
1. To establish the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tauelsizdigine 20 zhyl".
2. Approve the attached: 1) Rules for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tauelsizdigine 20 zhyl"; 2) description of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tauelsizdigine 20 zhyl".
3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.

1. These Rules regulate the procedure for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tauelsizdigine 20 zhyl" (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal).
2. The Jubilee Medal is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to the establishment of statehood, strengthening sovereignty and to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. Submissions for awarding the jubilee medal are submitted to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Parliament, the Government, ministries, other central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akims of regions, Astana and Almaty cities, as well as public organizations.
4. The jubilee Medal is awarded by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The jubilee medal may also be awarded on behalf of and on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by: 1) the Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 2) akims of regions, Astana and Almaty cities, as well as other officials authorized to do so by the Head of State. Together with the medal, the awardee is presented with a certificate of the established pattern. 5. The jubilee medal is presented in a solemn ceremony and is presented to the recipient personally. Before the presentation, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on awarding is announced. 6. The jubilee medal is worn on the left side of the chest. If there are state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is placed after them. 7. A corresponding entry is made in the list for awarding the jubilee medal. Non-returned medals and certificates to them are returned to the Order's Storeroom of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with an indication of the reasons for the return, which is marked accordingly in the lists. Records of awards made, as well as reports on the awarding of commemorative medals, are maintained by the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyntauelsizdigine 20 zhyl"
The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tauelsizdigine 20 zhyl" (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal) has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 34 mm. On the front side of the jubilee medal, in the upper part, there is an image of the jubilee emblem – the relief number 20, the zero of which is made in the form of a stylized sun with rays, against the background of a waving flag. In the lower part there is a relief image of the Akorda building. On the reverse side of the jubilee medal in the central part there is a relief inscription "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Tauelsizdigine 20 zhyl". The jubilee medal is made of yellow metal (brass). The jubilee medal is connected with an eyelet and a ring to a 32 mm wide and 50 mm high shoe covered with a moire ribbon. The ribbon is formed by two 16 mm red and blue stripes. In the middle there is an overlay in the form of a vertical relief laurel branch made of brass with a width of 8 mm. The jubilee medal is attached to clothes with a pin with a visor lock.
