The National Security Body of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the national security body of the Republic of Kazakhstan) is a special state body that is an integral part of the security system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the objectives of which are:

1) ensuring the security of the individual and society, protecting the foundations of the constitutional order, Sovereignty and Independence, unitarity, territorial integrity, economic, scientific, technical and defense potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) implementation and coordination of intelligence activities in order to ensure the security of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other state bodies and organizations with intelligence information for decision-making, as well as assistance in the implementation of public administration policies in the political, financial, economic, military, political, scientific, technical, humanitarian, environmental and other areas affecting the national interests of Kazakhstan.
