Article 1. State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Constitutional Law On State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     The state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan are: the National Flag, the National Emblem, the National Anthem.

     The national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular blue cloth with an image of a sun with rays in the center, under which there is a soaring eagle. The shaft has a national ornament in the form of a vertical stripe. The image of the sun, its rays, an eagle and the national ornament is the color of gold. The ratio of the width of the Flag to its length is 1:2.

     The national Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan has the shape of a circle and is an image of a shanyrak (the upper vaulted part of the yurt) on a blue background, from which uyks (pillars) radiate in all directions in the form of sun rays. To the right and left of shanyrak there are images of mythical winged horses. There is a three–dimensional five-pointed star in the upper part, and the inscription "QAZAQSTAN" in the lower part. The image of a star, shanyrak, uyks, mythical winged horses, as well as the inscription "QAZAQSTAN" – the color of gold.

     The National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a musical and poetic work performed in the cases provided for by this Constitutional Law.

     The standards of the National Flag and the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan are kept at the Residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
