1. The National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the National Guard) is part of the unified system of internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is designed to ensure the security of individuals, society and the state, and protect human and civil rights and freedoms from criminal and other unlawful encroachments.

2. Interference in the activities of the National Guard in the exercise of its powers is prohibited.

3. The National Guard has a flag and a symbol. Regional commands, formations, military units and the higher military educational institution of the National Guard have battle flags of the established pattern.

Descriptions of the flag and symbol of the National Guard, battle flags of regional commands, formations and military units, and higher military educational institutions are approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 10, 2015 No. 274-V SAM.

This Law regulates public relations in the sphere of activity of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
