Article 10. Akim of the capital The Law on the Status of the Capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Along with the powers established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Mayor of the capital, within the limits of his competence,:
1) represents the capital in relations with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Parliament, the Government, other central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international organizations and representatives of foreign states;
2) coordinates draft regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan directly affecting the interests of the capital, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) submits draft regulatory legal acts and other proposals on the functioning and development of the capital for consideration by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
4) participates in resolving issues of holding national and international events in the capital.;
5) submits proposals to the relevant state bodies on the transfer to the municipal ownership of the city of republican-owned facilities located on the territory of the capital, which are important for ensuring that the city performs the functions of the capital.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 21, 2007 No. 296.
This Law regulates public relations in the field of functioning of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, defines the legal, economic and organizational bases of its activities.
