Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan is acquired:

1) by birth;

2) as a result of being granted citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) on the grounds or in accordance with the procedure provided for by

intergovernmental treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) on other grounds provided for by this Law.

The footnote. Paragraph 3 of Article 10 is amended by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has the force of Law, dated October 3, 1995, No. 2477.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 20, 1991 1017-XII. This Law regulates the issues of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
