Article 10. Powers of the President of the Republic in relation to the Government of the Constitutional Law on the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
The President of the Republic:
1) appoints the Prime Minister of the Republic with the consent of the Mazhilis of Parliament; dismisses him from office;
2) on the proposal of the Prime Minister, submitted within ten days after his appointment, determines the structure of the Government; on the proposal of the Prime Minister, submitted after consultation with the Mazhilis of Parliament, appoints members of the Government; independently appoints ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, internal Affairs; dismisses members of the Government;
3) takes the oath of office of members of the Government;
4) regularly hears the Prime Minister's report on the main activities of the Government and on all its most important decisions, during which the Prime Minister reports on the work of the Government.;
5) coordinate a unified system of financing and remuneration of employees for all bodies maintained at the expense of the state budget of the Republic;
5-1) coordinates the System of State planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan and state programs;
6) if necessary, preside over Government meetings on particularly important issues.;

9) decides on the resignation announced by the Government and any of its members if they consider it impossible to continue exercising the functions assigned to them, or if the Mazhilis of Parliament or Parliament has expressed a vote of no confidence in the Government, as well as on the resignation announced by a member of the Government who does not agree with the Government's policy or does not implement it;
10) accepts or rejects the resignation announced by the Government or any of its members within ten days.;
11) if the resignation of the Government or its member is rejected, instructs them to continue carrying out their duties.;
12) has the right, on its own initiative, to decide on the termination of the powers of the Government, the dismissal of the Prime Minister and any member of the Government.;
13) by its acts, it has the right to entrust the Government with the exercise of executive functions, except those established by the Constitution and laws of the Republic.;
14) gives instructions to the Government of the Republic.

This Constitutional Law, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, defines the legal status of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
