Article 10. Requirements for filling positions of ordinary and commanding officers of law enforcement agencies The Law on Law Enforcement Service

     1. Citizens under the age of thirty-five who have an appropriate education and have completed military service or military training in specialized organizations of the Ministry of Defense for the training of the military-trained reserve, as well as citizens who have been released or have a deferral from conscription in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are accepted to serve in law enforcement agencies.

     In accordance with this Law, by decision of the head of a law enforcement agency, a person over thirty-five years of age who has high professional training or significant work experience in certain specialties may be accepted into law enforcement service.

     2. Citizens are accepted for positions of ordinary and junior commanders or employees with at least secondary education are appointed, depending on the qualification requirements for the categories of law enforcement agency positions.

     Citizens are accepted for positions of middle management or employees with technical and professional, post-secondary, higher education are appointed, depending on the qualification requirements for the categories of law enforcement agency positions.

     3. Citizens of military age who are subject to conscription for military service may be accepted into positions of intermediate and senior command staff only if they have higher education.

     4. Citizens are accepted for senior and senior management positions or employees with higher education are appointed.

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 6, 2011 No. 380-IV.

     This Law regulates public relations related to admission to the law enforcement service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status (status), financial support and social protection of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
