Operating organizations are required to:

comply with the requirements of this Law and other regulatory legal acts in the field of radiation safety;

plan and implement measures to ensure radiation safety and the safety of ionizing radiation sources;

to carry out work to substantiate the radiation safety of new (modernized) products, materials and substances, technological processes and industries that are sources of ionizing radiation;

to carry out systematic industrial control of the radiation situation at workplaces, in premises, on the territories of organizations, in controlled areas, as well as over the release and discharge of radioactive substances;

carry out regular monitoring and accounting of individual radiation doses of personnel;

to train and certify officials and personnel, specialists of industrial radiation control services, and other persons who permanently or temporarily work with ionizing radiation sources;

organize preliminary (upon admission to work) and periodic medical examinations of staff;

regularly inform staff about the levels of ionizing radiation in their workplaces and the amount of individual radiation doses they receive.;

promptly inform the state bodies authorized to carry out state management, supervision and control in the field of radiation safety, about emergency situations, about violations of technological regulations that pose a threat to radiation safety.;

comply with the conclusions, resolutions, and instructions of officials authorized by government agencies responsible for public administration, supervision, and control in the field of radiation safety;

to ensure the realization of citizens' rights in the field of radiation safety.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 23, 1998 No. 219.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of radiation safety of the population, in order to protect their health from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.
