1. When designing machinery and equipment, it is necessary to ensure that the design of machinery and (or) equipment meets the requirements of this Law and technical regulations.

2. When designing machinery and equipment, the designer must identify all possible hazards at all stages of the life cycle, including during normal operation, emergency situations (failures and external influences), and suspected personnel errors.

3. For all identified hazards, the risks should be assessed using calculated, experimental and expert methods.

4. Taking into account the risk assessment carried out for each type of machinery and equipment, the entire range of measures should be determined during design to eliminate or reduce the risk to an acceptable level at all stages of the life cycle of machinery and equipment.

5. If it is impossible to reduce the risk below the acceptable level, the designer is obliged to provide in the operating instructions a system of measures ensuring the safety of human life and health and the environment.

6. When designing machinery and equipment, design documentation should be developed and its environmental expertise carried out.

7. The project documentation includes a technical description of the project, detailed drawings of machinery and equipment, control mechanisms, operational characteristics of machinery and equipment, and operating instructions.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 21, 2007 No. 305.

This Law regulates public relations in determining, establishing, applying and fulfilling requirements for machines and equipment, their life cycle processes, and establishes the legal basis for ensuring safety to ensure the protection of human life, health and the environment.
