1. Standard samples are intended for reproduction, storage and transmission of characteristics of the composition or properties of substances (materials) expressed in units of quantities approved for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Standard samples are used for verification, calibration, calibration of measuring instruments, evaluation of measurement techniques, and quality control of manufactured products.

2. Standard samples that are objects of state metrological control in accordance with Article 22 of this Law are subject to type approval and registration in the register of the state system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 7, 2000 No. 53-II.

This Law regulates public relations that arise between government agencies, individuals and legal entities in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements, defines its goals, legal and organizational bases for ensuring the uniformity of measurements.
