Article 11. Accreditation of sports federations The Law on Physical Culture and Sports
1. National and local sports federations are subject to accreditation.
2. In the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, one national sports federation is subject to accreditation for one sport for which there is no corresponding national accredited sports federation.
3. The national accredited sports federation for Olympic and non-Olympic sports must be, on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of an international sports federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee and (or) be recognized by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. The national accredited sports federation for national sports must be, on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the international sports organization for the relevant sport.
5. The national accredited sports federation for Paralympic and non-Paralympic sports must be, on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of an international sports federation recognized by the International Paralympic Committee and (or) be recognized by the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
6. The national accredited Deaflympic Sports Federation must be, on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of an international sports organization recognized by the International Committee for Deaf Sports, and (or) be recognized by the National Deaflympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
7. If a sports federation develops a type(s) of sports on the territory of more than half of the regions, cities of republican significance and the capital, the federation is accredited with the status of "national".
8. A sports federation by type of sport is awarded the status of "national" from the date of receiving accreditation from the authorized body in the field of physical culture and sports.
9. A local accredited sports federation must be a member of a nationally accredited sports federation by type(s) of sport.
10. A sports federation is awarded the status of "local" from the date of receiving accreditation from the local executive body.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of physical culture and sports, defines the legal, organizational, economic and social foundations for ensuring the activities and development of mass physical culture, amateur and professional sports in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
