The subjects, in accordance with their activities, are obliged to:

1) comply with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on food safety;

2) provide preliminary and periodic medical examinations and hygienic training for the personnel of the subjects;

3) to establish, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on food safety, the shelf life of food products in coordination with authorized bodies;

4) ensure production control over the safety of each batch of food products in the processes (at the stages) of its production (manufacture), turnover and disposal;

5) provide the authorized bodies with information on violations that led to the acquisition of dangerous properties by food products in the processes (at the stages) its development (creation), production (manufacture), turnover and disposal;

6) send the food products specified in subparagraph 5) of this Article for appropriate examination.;

7) immediately stop the processes (stages) of production (manufacture), turnover and disposal of food products if a violation has been committed that has led to the acquisition of dangerous properties by food products, ensure its recall from domestic trade facilities and conduct an appropriate examination, and then organize its disposal or destruction in accordance with the procedure determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

8) submit documents certifying the safety of food products to buyers (consumers) of food products, authorized bodies upon their request;

9) provide assistance to authorized bodies on issues related to the prevention or reduction of risks associated with food products that they have produced, sold or disposed of;

10) ensure the identification and traceability of food products in all processes (at stages) its development (creation), production (manufacture), turnover, disposal and destruction.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 21, 2007 No. 301.

This Law establishes the legal basis for ensuring food safety to protect human life and health, the legitimate interests of consumers and environmental protection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
