1. The author of a topology or another copyright holder has the right to register a topology by submitting an application for registration to an expert organization.

The application for registration of the topology and the documents attached to it must be submitted in Kazakh or Russian. If these documents are submitted in another language, the expert organization has the right to request a translation of the information contained in the documents attached to the application. The transfer must be submitted simultaneously with the application or within two months from the date of receipt of the application.

2. The application for registration may be submitted within a period not exceeding two years from the date of the first use of the topology, if any.

3. The application for registration must relate to one topology and contain:

1) an application for registration of a topology indicating the author and the persons in whose name registration is requested, as well as their place of residence or location, the date of the first use of the topology, if any;

2) materials identifying the topology, including an abstract;

3) a power of attorney if the application for registration is submitted through a representative;

4) (excluded)

The requirements for the preparation and execution of an application for registration are established by the authorized body.

4. An expert examination is carried out on the received application for registration of the topology.

If the result of the examination is positive, the topology is registered in the State Register of Integrated Circuit Topologies and a certificate of registration is issued.

Prior to registration, the applicant has the right to supplement, clarify and correct the application materials.

The author of the topology, who is not the copyright holder, is issued an author's certificate by an expert organization.

5. Information entered in the State Register of Integrated Circuit Topologies is considered reliable until proven otherwise.

The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of this information.

6. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 06/20/2018 No. 161-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).
