The competence of the central authorized body for state planning includes:

1) implementation, within its competence, of the state policy in the field of creation and functioning of special economic and industrial zones;

2) participation, within its competence, in the development and approval of draft regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating the activities of special economic and industrial zones;

3) coordination of the methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of special economic and industrial zones;

4) coordination of the list of priority activities covered by the special legal regime of the special economic zone;

5) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 12/30/2022 No. 177-VII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);

6) exercise of other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations arising from the creation, operation and abolition of special economic and industrial zones on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
