Article 12. Licensing of scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments and (or) archaeological work of the Law on the Protection and Use of Objects of Historical and Cultural Heritage

1. Activities related to scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments and (or) archaeological work are subject to licensing in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on permits and notifications.

2. Applicants who have applied for a license to carry out scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments and (or) archaeological work on a subspecies of archaeological work, and licensees engaged in this subspecies of activity, must include at least one researcher with higher education in the relevant specialty with experience. at least five years of work and a degree in the field or a master's degree, doctorate in profile, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Applicants who have applied for a license to carry out scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments and (or) archaeological work on a subspecies of scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments, and licensees carrying out this subspecies of activity, They must include at least one specialist restorer with secondary technical and professional education with at least five years of work experience or a researcher in the relevant specialty with at least five years of work experience and a degree in this field or master's degrees, doctor of specialty, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

A researcher or specialist restorer working for an organization licensed to carry out scientific restoration work on historical and cultural monuments and/or archaeological work cannot be claimed by another organization during the application process for obtaining a license for these subspecies of activity.

3. Licensing of scientific and restoration works on historical and cultural monuments and (or) archaeological works is carried out by the authorized body.
