Article 12. Measures for soil protection The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Soil Protection   

      Measures for soil protection shall include:

      1) conducting scientific research aimed at the rational use and conservation of soils;

      2) conducting soil, meliorative, and agrochemical surveys, bonitation, and soil monitoring;

      3) introduction of soil-protective tillage technologies;

      4) carrying out agrotechnical (cultural-technical) meliorative measures;

      5) ensuring scientific-technical and innovative support for soil protection, including the introduction of modern technologies for soil monitoring, modelling of soil degradation processes, risk assessment, and the application of effective solutions for soil protection and soil restoration;

      6) adherence to a scientifically grounded fertiliser application system, introduction of crop rotations, and other agrotechnical measures aimed at maintaining and increasing soil fertility;

      7) prevention of soil pollution by waste, wastewater, chemical substances, including pesticides and heavy metals;

      8) carrying out reclamation of disturbed lands;

      9) other measures for soil protection provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

On soil protection, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 8, 2026 No. 341-VIII SAM 

This Law regulates public relations in the field of soil protection and defines their legal, economic and organizational bases.
