Article 12. Parliamentary hearings of the Constitutional Law on the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the status of its Deputies
1. The Chambers of Parliament shall hold parliamentary hearings on matters within their competence.
2. Parliamentary hearings are conducted by decision of the Bureau of the Chambers by the Standing Committees of the Chambers and may be conducted in open and closed forms.
3. Parliamentary hearings are not held on days of joint or separate plenary sessions of the Chambers.
4. The parliamentary opposition has the right to initiate parliamentary hearings at least once during one session in accordance with the procedure provided for by the Rules of Procedure of the Mazhilis of Parliament.

This Constitutional Law, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, defines the organization and activities of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the legal status of its deputies.
