1. The Constitutional Court, at the request of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Senate, the Chairman of the Mazhilis, at least one fifth of the total number of deputies of Parliament, the Prime Minister, and the Prosecutor General, examines international treaties for compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan before ratification.

2. In the case of an appeal to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the deadline for the ratification of international treaties is suspended.

3. International treaties recognized as inconsistent with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan may not be ratified.

This Law defines the procedure for concluding, executing, amending and terminating international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

International treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan are concluded, executed, amended and terminated in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, generally recognized principles and norms of international law, the provisions of the international treaty itself, the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, this Law and other legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
