Article 12. State regulation of agri-food markets The Law on State Regulation of the Development of the Agro-industrial Complex and Rural Areas
1. State regulation of agri-food markets in order to ensure food security and support Kazakhstani agricultural producers is carried out through:
1) implementation of price stabilization mechanisms for socially important food products;
2) protection of the domestic market by measures of customs tariff, non-tariff regulation, application of special protective, anti-dumping and countervailing measures in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. In order to stabilize the food market, mechanisms are being implemented to stabilize prices for socially important food products.

This Law defines the legal, organizational, economic and social foundations for the implementation of state regulation of the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
