Article 12. Technical Committees for Standardization The Law on Standardization
1. Technical committees for standardization are established in economic sectors based on the principle of voluntary participation of subjects of the national standardization system.
2. Technical Committees for Standardization:
1) participate in the development of standardization documents and develop them;
2) organize a technical discussion of the content of draft national standards in accordance with the assigned field of activity with members of the technical committee for Standardization;
3) make proposals for the formation of a national standardization plan;
4) send requests to government agencies, legal entities or individuals on issues within their competence on behalf of the base organization.;
5) participate in scientific research in the field of standardization;
6) participate in the work of technical committees for standardization of international and regional organizations for standardization;
7) exercise other powers provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of standardization.
3. The technical Committee for standardization includes representatives of interested entities of the national standardization system of the relevant industry (sphere).
4. Applicants for the establishment of the technical committee for standardization may be interested entities of the national standardization system of the relevant industry (sphere).
5. Information, analytical and organizational support for the activities of the technical committee for Standardization is carried out by its basic organization.
This Law defines the legal framework for the functioning of the national standardization system.
