Materials of counterintelligence activities are used for:

1) development of the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other strategic and programmatic documents in the field of national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) making decisions by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of ensuring the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) decision-making by state bodies, state legal entities, quasi-public sector entities in the field of protecting the national interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) development of draft regulatory legal acts and international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) analysis, assessment and forecasting of threats to the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

6) prevention, opening and suppression of intelligence and (or) subversive actions;

7) bringing to administrative or criminal responsibility in the manner prescribed by the administrative or criminal procedure legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 28, 2016 No. 35-VI SAM.

This Law defines the legal basis of counterintelligence activities and the system of guarantees of legality of their implementation.
