Article 13. Interaction, collaboration, and public oversight The Law On Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. In carrying out the tasks assigned to them, the internal affairs bodies interact with other state bodies, individuals and legal entities.
2. State bodies, individuals and legal entities have the right to provide assistance to internal affairs bodies.
Individual citizens may, with their consent, be involved in cooperation with internal affairs bodies on a confidential basis in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Forced involvement in cooperation is not allowed.
3. The interaction of the internal affairs bodies with the relevant state bodies of foreign states and international organizations is carried out in accordance with the international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. In order to increase public confidence in the activities of the internal affairs bodies, cooperation with civil society institutions is carried out and a system of public control is applied. In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, public supervisory commissions and a Public Council are formed to carry out public control.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and its territorial bodies establish other consultative and advisory bodies in order to:
assistance to internal affairs bodies in ensuring transparency of their activities;
consideration of appeals from individuals and legal entities against the actions of employees of internal affairs bodies who violate the norms of professional ethics established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
and for other purposes stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in the sphere of activity of the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
