1. The production and turnover of petroleum products must ensure safety for human life and health and the environment in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The objects of technical regulation and standardization in the field of production and turnover of petroleum products are petroleum products, as well as the processes of their production, storage, transportation, sale, destruction and disposal.

3. The equipment and technical means used in the production and turnover of petroleum products must comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of safety of machinery and equipment, as well as technical regulations.

4. When designing and constructing facilities for processing, transporting and distributing petroleum products, the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on architectural, urban planning and construction activities, on civil protection, must be observed and the risks of emergency situations must be taken into account.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 20, 2011 No. 463-IV.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the process of production and turnover of certain types of petroleum products: gasoline, aviation and diesel fuel, fuel oil, road bitumen.
