Article 13. Term of validity of the exclusive right to a topology of the Law On Legal Protection of Integrated Circuit Topologies
1. The exclusive right to a topology is valid for ten years, starting from the date of registration of the topology.
2. If the topology has not been registered, the specified ten-year period is calculated from the documented date of the first use in any country of the world of this topology or an integrated circuit with this topology.
3. When registering a topology, the use of which began before the date of registration of the topology, the term of validity of the exclusive right is calculated in accordance with paragraph 2 of this article.
4. The appearance of an identical original topology independently created by another author does not interrupt or terminate the validity period of the exclusive right specified in paragraphs 1, 2 of this article, while the total validity period of the exclusive right to the topology may not exceed ten years.
