Article 13. The right to purchase weapons by the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations, special state and law enforcement agencies, and other subjects of the Law On State Control over the Turnover of Certain Types of Weapons
The armed forces, other troops and military formations, special state and law enforcement agencies, and entities specified in the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Defense Industry and the State Defense Order" have the right to purchase hand-held small arms and other weapons in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From weapons with a rifled barrel adopted for service, with the exception of those in long-term storage, a control shooting is carried out to form a State bullet collection in accordance with the procedure determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 1998 No. 339.
This Law regulates legal relations arising from the turnover of civilian, service, military handguns and cold steel weapons in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and is aimed at protecting the life and health of citizens, property, ensuring public safety, protecting environmental facilities, resources, and developing international cooperation in combating crime and illegal proliferation of weapons.
The provisions of this Law also apply to the circulation of ammunition (cartridges).
