Article 13. Vice-Presidents of the Assembly The Law On the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan
1. The Vice-Chairmen of the Assembly are appointed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Vice-Chairmen of the Assembly from ethnic and cultural associations are appointed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the principle of rotation based on the recommendation of the Council.
The period of rotation of the Deputy Chairmen of the Assembly is determined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Vice-Presidents of the Assembly:
1) exercise powers that do not fall within the exclusive competence of the President of the Assembly;
2) on behalf of the Chairman of the Assembly, represent the Assembly in the state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international organizations;
2-1) carry out the instructions of the Chairman of the Assembly, the working body of the Assembly for the implementation of the decisions of the Session and the Council;
3) inform the President of the Assembly about the state of affairs and the progress of the implementation of the Assembly's policy documents, as necessary.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 20, 2008 No. 70-IV.
This Law defines the status, procedure for the formation and organization of the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan aimed at implementing state policy to ensure public harmony and national unity, increasing the effectiveness of interaction between government agencies, organizations and institutions of civil society in the field of interethnic relations.
