1. A priority tourist territory is an area with a special potential for tourist development, included in the list of objects at the national level of the touristic map.

2. The participants of the priority tourist territory are individuals and legal entities engaged in business activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. The priority tourist area is created in order to:

increasing the competitiveness of the territory in the tourist market due to the synergetic effect;

improving the efficiency of the subjects of tourist activity;

concentration of resources (material, intellectual and others) in the most promising points of tourism development.

4. The construction of facilities capable of meeting the needs of tourists in priority tourist areas is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 13, 2001 No. 211.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social, and organizational foundations of tourism activity as one of the sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
