1. The assemblies of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital are accountable and accountable to the Assembly in carrying out their activities.

2. Akims of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital are ex officio chairmen of the assemblies of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital.

3. The organizational structure of the assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital, taking into account the need to represent the national, socio-cultural and public interests of the regions in it, is determined by the chairman of the assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital in coordination with the Staff (Secretariat) Assemblies.

4. The session is the supreme governing body of the assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital.

5. The collegial body governing between sessions is the council of the Assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital, formed and headed by its chairman.

6. The working body of the assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital is the office (secretariat).

7. Assemblies of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital:

1) execute the decisions of the Assembly and its Council, their own decisions and instructions of the President of the Assembly;

2) develop proposals on candidates for deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, appointed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which are sent to the Council;

3) regularly collect and submit to the Assembly information on the state and prospects of strengthening interethnic relations in the region.;

4) interact with local state bodies, local self-government bodies, ethnocultural and other public associations engaged in their activities in the field of interethnic relations.

8. The office (secretariat) of the Assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital:

1) ensures the activities of the chairman and the council of the assembly of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital;

2) collects information on a regular basis and submits it to the Office (Secretariat) on a quarterly basis The Assembly provides information on the state and prospects of strengthening social harmony and national unity in the region.;

3) organizes the interaction of ethno-cultural and other public associations with local executive bodies and local self-government bodies on the implementation of state policy to ensure social harmony and national unity in the region;

4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/03/2020 No. 357-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

This Law defines the status, procedure for the formation and organization of the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan aimed at implementing state policy to ensure public harmony and national unity, increasing the effectiveness of interaction between government agencies, organizations and institutions of civil society in the field of interethnic relations.
