Article 14. Functions and powers of the permanent commissions of the Maslikhat of the Law on Local Government and Self-Government in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Article 14. Functions and powers of the permanent commissions of the Maslikhat of the Law on Local Government and Self-Government in the Republic of Kazakhstan  

     1. Permanent Commissions may:  

     1) to make proposals to the maslikhat, the chairman of the Maslikhat on the agenda of the session of this maslikhat, as well as on any issues considered at the maslikhat session;

     2) to give opinions on the issues referred to their jurisdiction and submitted for consideration by the Maslikhat session;  

     3) to submit reports and co-reports on issues within their competence at the sessions of the Maslikhat;  

     4) within the limits of its competence, submit proposals to the Maslikhat on hearing reports of the heads of local executive bodies at the session.;  

     5) involve other maslikhat deputies, as well as representatives of state bodies, organizations, other local self-government bodies and citizens in the work of commissions.  

     2. Akimat, officials of territorial divisions of central state bodies, executive bodies financed from local budgets, and organizations are required to provide the necessary information to the permanent commissions on issues of their competence in accordance with the established procedure.  

     3. The Permanent Commissions of the Maslikhat adopt resolutions on issues within their competence.  

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 23, 2001 No. 148.

        This Law, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulates public relations in the field of local government and self-government, defines the competence, organization, and order of activity of local representative and executive bodies, as well as the legal status of deputies of maslikhats.
