Article 14. Refugee Identification Act On Identity Documents

      1. A refugee certificate is issued to foreigners and stateless persons who have been granted refugee status in accordance with the procedure established by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Refugees".

     2. The refugee certificate is issued for a one-year period and is extended for each subsequent year by the local executive body of the region, the city of republican significance and the capital until the circumstances that served as the basis for granting refugee status remain in the refugee's country of origin.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2013 No. 73-V.

     This Law defines the legal basis of identity documents, establishes requirements for their registration, and regulates activities related to the production, issuance, replacement, delivery, seizure and destruction of identity documents.
