Article 14. Status of employees and their legal guarantees The Law on Law Enforcement Service
1. Employees are representatives of state authorities and are protected by the State.
2. The requirements of employees stipulated by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as legal requirements) are mandatory for individuals and legal entities.
3. Failure to comply with the legal requirements of employees, insulting, resisting, threatening violence or encroaching on their life, health, honor and dignity, property, other actions that hinder the performance of their duties, as well as encroachment on the life, health, honor, dignity and property of their family members, close relatives in connection with the performance of employees of official duties and official duties entail responsibility established by law.
4. Employees, when performing their duties, are subordinate only to the head of the law enforcement agency, direct and authorized managers, except in cases provided for by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. No one has the right to interfere in the activities of employees, except for persons directly authorized to do so by law. Unlawful interference in the activities of employees entails liability established by law.
6. Upon receiving an order or instruction that contradicts the law, the employee must be guided by the law and be protected by it.
7. Employees have the right to appeal against decisions and actions (inaction) taken against them to higher officials, to the court in accordance with the procedure established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
8. Employees are not responsible for damage caused in connection with the use of firearms and other weapons, special means and physical force, if their actions are carried out in accordance with this Law and other legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations related to admission to the law enforcement service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status (status), financial support and social protection of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
