1. Persons holding a responsible public position, persons authorized to perform public functions, persons equated to persons authorized to perform public functions, officials are prohibited from exercising official duties if there is a conflict of interests.

2. The persons referred to in paragraph 1 of this article must take measures to prevent and resolve conflicts of interest.

3. The persons referred to in paragraph 1 of this article are obliged to notify the immediate supervisor or the management of the organization in which they work in writing of a conflict of interest or the possibility of its occurrence as soon as they become aware of it.

The direct head or management of the organization, upon requests from the persons referred to in paragraph 1 of this article, or upon receiving information from other sources, must promptly take the following measures to prevent and resolve conflicts of interest:

1) to dismiss the persons referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article from their official duties and entrust another person with the performance of official duties on an issue in connection with which a conflict of interests has arisen or may arise;

2) change job responsibilities;

3) take other measures to eliminate the conflict of interests.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of combating corruption and is aimed at implementing the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
