1. Insurance related to the implementation by an insurance company of activities related to the conclusion and execution of insurance contracts on the territory of another State is cross-border.

2. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/02/2018 No. 166-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

3. Intermediary activity in concluding an insurance contract with a non–resident insurance organization of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exception of civil liability insurance contracts for owners of motor vehicles traveling outside the Republic of Kazakhstan, for the risks specified in subparagraph 2) of paragraph 2 of Article 5-1 of this Law, is not allowed on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan if international treaties ratified by The Republic of Kazakhstan, unless otherwise provided.

4. Mediation activities on the conclusion on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan on behalf of a non–resident insurance organization of the Republic of Kazakhstan of civil liability insurance contracts for owners of motor vehicles traveling outside the Republic of Kazakhstan for the risks specified in subparagraph 2) of paragraph 2 of Article 5-1 of this Law may also be carried out by insurance organizations resident in the Republic of Kazakhstan licensed by an authorized body with indicating the appropriate insurance class, and insurance brokers – residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, if there is a corresponding agreement concluded with the named insurance company, which is a non–resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
