1. An applicant (manufacturer, supplier, importer) who supplies chemical products for placing on the market must provide it with a safety data sheet.

2. The safety data sheet for chemical products should contain the following information about chemical products:

1) definition of chemical products (substances, preparations and manufacturers);

2) identification of the risk(s);

3) composition, information about chemicals;

4) First aid measures;

5) Fire prevention measures;

6) Emergency measures;

7) Handling and storage;

8) radiation protection, personal protection;

9) Physical and chemical properties;

10)Stability and reactivity;

11) Toxicological information;

12) environmental information;

13) Waste management;

14) Transportation information;

15) information on certain types of chemical products established by technical regulations in the field of safety of chemical products.

3. Upon request, the consumer is provided with additional information about chemical products and measures to protect against the effects of their dangerous properties on human life and health, and the environment.

4. Accompanying documents for chemical products should contain information on classification and precautions to reduce the risk of danger.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 21, 2007 No. 302.

This Law establishes the legal basis for ensuring the safety of chemical products for the protection of human life and health, environmental protection and consumer interests in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
