Article 15. Subsidy in the field of cinematography The Law on Cinematography
A subsidy in the field of cinematography is a type of budget subsidy provided on a gratuitous and irrevocable basis to a foreign legal entity, its branch or representative office that has concluded an agreement to provide subsidies in the field of cinematography (hereinafter referred to as the agreement).
A subsidy in the field of cinematography is provided by reimbursing up to thirty percent of the cost of goods, works and services related to the production of a film (or part of it) in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
An agreement is an agreement under which the Kazakh side undertakes to pay a subsidy, and a foreign legal entity, its branch or representative office, to produce a film (or part of it) in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The right to conclude an agreement from the Kazakh side is vested with the State Center for the Support of National Cinema in coordination with the authorized body.
This Law regulates public relations and defines the legal, economic and organizational foundations of the field of cinematography.
