Individuals and legal entities have the right, taking into account their economic and professional needs, to organize and carry out activities in the field of standardization in the relevant industries (spheres), in particular:

1) participate in the development of regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of standardization;

2) participate in the development, monitoring, revision, cancellation and updating of standardization documents;

3) send requests to the authorized body, the national standardization body, technical committees for standardization on issues related to the field of standardization;

4) participate in the activities of technical committees for standardization;

5) develop and implement standardization documents, unless otherwise established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

6) create appropriate departments and services for standardization;

7) participate in scientific research in the field of standardization;

8) exercise other powers provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of standardization.

This Law defines the legal framework for the functioning of the national standardization system.
