Article 15. Validity period of registration of the Law on Trademarks, Service Marks, Geographical Indications and Names of Places of Origin of Goods

     1. Trademark registration is valid for ten years from the date of filing the application.

     2. The term of validity of a trademark registration is extended each time for ten years at the request of the owner filed during the last year of its validity. Information on the extension of the validity period of the trademark registration within ten working days from the date of receipt of the application to the expert organization is entered in the State Register of Trademarks and the certificate.

     3. The deadline for filing an application specified in paragraph 2 of this Article may be restored upon the application of the owner submitted within six months after the expiration of the registration period.

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 26, 1999 No. 456.

     This Law regulates relations arising in connection with the registration, legal protection and use of trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and names of places of origin of goods in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
